Social Studies Education: Online Master’s Degree
Admission criteria
Admission to the Master’s program will be based upon the following criteria:
- Completed bachelor’s degree (from a regionally accredited institution)
- Undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale in the last 60 hours of course work) – preferred
- Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores.
- Preferred score: verbal plus quantitative total of 900.
- Letters of recommendation (letters should attest to your professional competence, academic preparation and potential for graduate work)
- two required if your undergraduate GPA is 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
- three required if your undergraduate GPA is below 3.0
- three required for international students
- Statement of Purpose
- Applicants need to be actively engaged in a K-12 classroom setting and certified in social studies education or approved field with the possible exception of international students.
