Individuals with baccalaureate degrees in nursing who want to deliver advanced primary mental health care to individuals of all ages including children, adolescents and their families should consider applying for admission to this area of study within the master of science program in nursing. Family mental health nurse practitioners engage in advanced nursing practice through independent and interdependent decision making and are directly accountable for clinical judgments.

The curriculum uniquely combines online course work and preceptored clinical experiences within the student’s local area.
